DHS offer a complete range of vacuum extraction instruments.
Our range
of vacuum extractors are designed for use with suitable electric pumps providing
the operator with a wide choice of instrument that suit both the presentation
of the foetus and also the operator`s own technique. The constant and controlled
vacuum source provides for a time-delay with audible warning of an impending
cup detachment. Thus, even in the hands of a lesser experienced operator
the outcome can be positive.
DHS offer the complete range of Medela™ (formerly
Menox™) autoclavable and single-use vacuum cups for use with our
electric vacuum pump range..
All DHS vacuum extraction instruments
may also be used with one of our range of hand pumps.
Metal cups
- Malmstrom cups with integral traction handle in 40mm, 50mm and 60mm cup sizes
- Bird cups with traction chain in sizes 40mm, 50mm and 60mm (anterior) and 50mm (posterior) cup sizes
- Bird cups with traction cord in sizes 40mm, 50mm and 60mm (anterior) and 50mm (posterior) cup sizes
- All metal cups supplied by DHS carry a unique serial number to enable usage monitoring. Upon request, for a small additional charge at the time of purchase, we will etch the hospital name on each metal cup to facilitate tracking.
Silc cups
- Autoclavable silicone-based soft vacuum extraction cup available in 50mm and 60mm sizes
- Designed for a product life cycle of 30 sterilisations
- Unique serial number etched onto each cup to enable usage tracking
Single-use cups
- Single-use Silc cup available in 60mm size
- Single-use Bird cup available in 50mm size
- All single-use cups come supplied with already sterilised and ready for use
Single-use Bird cups come supplied with sterile single-use tubing
Single-use Silc cups require tubing to be purchased separately although DHS can supply cups and tubing in procedure packs if required
